From the publican to reservations our team are the beating heart of The Talbot Inn. Take the time to get to know the many faces behind notepad, bar and kitchen door. Find commonality and spark a conversation the next time you visit us.
For Izzy, hospitality comes naturally. She joined us five years ago at our sister site, The Bath Arms, before making her way over to us and working her way up. Warm, friendly and, quite simply, brilliant. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her out in the fields with her horses or walking her dogs, Paddy & Winnie, ideally followed by a well-earned pint of Ashton Press.
Connor has been a part of the team for over a year and a half, bringing plenty of personality to the bar. When he's not behind the bar, he enjoys experiencing it from the other side, catching up with friends over a pint (or two, or three...) Next time you're in, come and say hello - he'll be more than happy to pour your favourite and have a chat.
Sam grew up around the Talbot Inn, learning the ropes from his brother Nathan and growing alongside the pub he now calls home. From washing pots at 15 to working his way behind the bar, it’s no wonder he’s Landlord - he knows the place, the people, and the community inside out.
Caring and simply delightful, a guest was heard to say about Faye and it is indeed true. Faye has worked at The Talbot for many years (and we hope many more to come) and so you can ask her about obscure local things to do.
The bringer of a little Andalusian sunshine (and sometimes a lot) into even the coolest of Mells winters’ nights. With a scrupulous eye for detail and care for everything we produce she keeps everyone in check even the head chef.
With a passion for simple food that celebrates the South West larder, Head Chef Rhys has cooked in some of the country’s finest hotels. When he’s not in the kitchen, he’s exploring Bath’s parks with his Jack Russell and spending quality time with his daughter.
